GOOD Infographics
Since its debut on the publishing scene five years ago, GOOD has played an integral role in the renaissance of the information graphic not only as an art-form in and of itself but as a vital tool for communicating complex and often urgent issues in the most engaging, easy-on-the-eyes, and FUN ways. In addition to our work on the redesign of their website, Kiss Me I’m Polish has been thrilled to work with the GOOD editorial team on a diverse series of information graphics throughout the last several years.
Our collaboration in this area began with a GOOD sheet – a free weekly hand-out offered to patrons at Starbucks throughout the fall of 2008. Each of GOOD’s eleven sheets broke down and important current issue – be it public health reform or illegal immigration. GOOD commissioned an array of studios for each design, and KMIP was invited to create the final one – exploring our nation’s holiday spending habits. Published the week of Thanksgiving and coinciding with the infamous Black Friday, the design was entitled “Our Present Economy” and analyzed what we spend, on what, how much we’ve spent over the years and how this annual economic boom breaks down over the holiday season.
Our design team has also contributed several information graphics to GOOD’s Transparency series, ranging from subjects like the death penalty, racial breakdowns of American sports teams or the most prevalent drug habits in the U.S.
Stay tuned for more info on our other collaborations with GOOD.
