The Shirt Project

March 24, 2009

Recipients of a Rhoda Lubalin Fellowship, Rich Watts and Kiss Me I’m Polish’s very own Louise Ma produced ten t-shirts from August 2007 to March 2009. Each was printed with diagrams that relayed information from a recent news story, and was available by subscription, like a newspaper. Their grande finale shirt dealt with the creeping death of newsprint. It features the work of twelve New York City-based designers, arranged like a classified ad section. Among the designs is a contribution by Agnieszka Gasparska, illustrating the drop in stock values of the top six U.S. Newspaper companies.
