Tweet, Tweet

Kiss Me I’m Polish is now on Twitter! A little late of a blooming perhaps, but that’s only because we had to use our wiles to commandeer our user name from an inactive account devoted to Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian.

But that only gave us more time to plan out all the fun ways to make the most of our newly-claimed channel. Think design meets news meets all things yummy, fun and Polish.

Curious? Follow @KissMeImPolish to find out what we’ve concocted so far.

Water For People At PopTech 2010

Before collaborating with Water For People on a project re-imagining how the organization’s mission is represented, Kiss Me I’m Polish conceptualized and designed a comprehensive slide presentation to accompany CEO Ned Breslin’s address at the annual PopTech Conference in Maine.

His talk, “Fixing the Water Crisis,” outlines the unique approach of Water For People’s work and stresses the importance of sustainable solutions and projects that stand the test of time. Highlighting the importance of asking the simple question, “Is the water still running?” Ned focuses on why accountability is key in trying to assist communities where new water systems are built.

Check out the whole presentation on the PopTech popcast.

First TAKE ON New York Showdown

Held at the 7 Train Theater in Flushing, Queens, the first TAKE ON New York Showdown brought ten back-to-back traditional Muay Thai face-offs to a sold-out audience of over 800 pumped participants. Kiss Me I’m Polish designed the identity for this new event series and we were beyond stoked to see our logo all over the fighters’ gear, the ring and various collateral materials that night.

Definitely keep an eye out for upcoming TAKE ON Showdowns cause they’re taking New York by storm!
Chok dee!

press_cp_forbes features ChallengePost

In an August 3rd Thought Leaders post, touted the recently-launched ChallengePost as the “eBay for Innovation.” Described by founder Brandon Kessler as a public marketplace for “getting something done when that something in your head doesn’t exist,” ChallengePost aggregates innovation contests in a single online platform. Users can post challenges directly on the site, and visitors can support a challenge or opt to pledge money to raise the stakes.

Kiss Me I’m Polish designed the ChallengePost logo and the visual strategy for the website. View the full case study.

Blessed Bike Seat

That’s Agnieszka’s saddle (and arm) as documented by WNYC’s Stephen Nessen during the sixth annual blessing of the bikes at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. What a spectacular event that was. And the best part – a grand finale lap *inside* the cathedral.
